DENYSE SMITH
Principal
Denyse Smith LLAM(Hons) established the Knaresborough School of Speech and Drama in 1984. She is a member of the Society of Teachers of Speech and Drama and the LAMDA Association of Teachers.
CATHERINE FEARN
Drama Teacher
Catherine Fearn BA(Hons) was a pupil at KSSD for more than 10 years, gaining Honours in all her LAMDA Grade 8 Examinations before completing a BA(Hons) in Performing Arts at Lancaster University. Whilst studying at Lancaster, Catherine choreographed all the KSSD shows before returning to the school as a teacher.
ROWENA LLOYD
Drama Teacher
Rowena Lloyd PCertLAM BA(Hons) was a pupil at KSSD from being four years old. She completed her LAMDA Grade 8 Examinations and her LAMDA Diploma in Performance Studies with Distinction. She studied English Literature at the University of Southampton and is now completing an MA in Drama and Creative Writing in Education.
